Goals! What's Your Definition?!?!?
Hello Everyone!,
This is my second post in my blog. I wanted to say thank you for all of the support. The messages, texts and comments on here as well :) It means alot. I am doing fine somewhat. I am still very sore from Tuesday's work out. It hurts doing physical activity, but I am strong and I am sucking it up! I went a jog yesterday with my Mom. We encouraged eachother, and motivated eachother. It helped alot, knowing that you have someone that cares about what you want in life makes it 100 times better to reach your goal.
Goal, whats the definition of a goal? The definition of a goal is "the result or achievement toward which effort is directed." There are many different definitions of the word goal. But! I think that one is the best. And to reach your goals in life, little ones, and big ones. It takes time, effort, determination, support, and confidence. The key one in that scentence I just wrote is TIME. Your goals defiently aren't going to happen overnight. Like the quote on the side of this coloumn. Even though this quote on the side is about losing weight, it isn't just about losing weight. Goals have to do with everything and anything you do. Whether its in school, at work, with your family, with yourself, a goal is something you want, and something you have to work for. Its not going to be easy, sometimes it might but other times it might not be. It's called believing in yourself. That takes a lot of effort, strength, support, determination, and confidence. Its not an easy process, its a long and hard process.
One of the biggest things I have to go through with myself, is believing in myself. It sucks, I wake up one day and think, oh I feel great, I am beautiful and I am skinny, I am perfect the way I am. Something can go wrong, I could get a bad grade, get made fun of, look in the mirror at the wrong time, get into a arguement with someone, or just hate everything. And I would get discouraged of what I thought that morning. You go to bed, and you might feel horrible about yourself, and wake up the next morning and still feel horrible. You might of worked out for an hour or two the day before and went to bed thinking, "Im going to be down 5 lbs tomorrow, I am forsure!" You wake up, weigh yourself, and you could of not lost any, lost 1 or 2, or gained a couple. Just cause you gained a couple, if you are eating healthy, and working out, you are most likely gaining muscle. so DONT get DISCOURAGED! Like I said it takes a lot of time. I am at 180lbs, I went to the doctor today, and got on the scale and went up one pound. I was confused but then I thought, muscle. I am on a strict protein diet, so that would explain it. The old Brittany would of gotten really upset, and scared. Also discouraged. But the new Brittany, realized she just has to work harder :) I am determined to reach my goal. I want to to be 156 pounds by this time next year. I will work throughout the summer, and school year. I want to be able to walk across that stage for number one, graduating haha thats a big accomplishment, and two being proud of what I faced, what I dealt with, how much stronger I became, who I wanted to be, and who i become across that stage. that will be one of the greatest moments of my life. And it will not only be me accomplishing something, but people who believed in me as well. Babysteps, is a big key on reaching your final goal. And I'm not just saying one goal you can have hundreds. Just make them what you want. :) and Believe in yourself. And if you need help, accept it! There will be many more passages on goals trust me.
The person who is reading this right now, take a minute and think about what you want your goal to be. It can be anything! Not just dealing with weight. I want to know your goal. And post it in the comment box, so I can know and support you. So if you could do that for me that would be great :)
Enjoy my second passage, another one tomorrow :) Thanks for the support! :)
